Honey-Garlic Pork Meatballs

Ingredients
1 (16 oz) pkg Ground Pork Sausage
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbs light brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 Tbs unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tbs honey
2 Tbs water
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Directions
  1. In a large bowl, add the pork, breadcrumbs, egg, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Using your hands, combine the mixture thoroughly.
  3. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  5. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Using a 1 1/2-inch scoop, shape the meat into 24 balls.
  7. Place on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the middle of a meatball reads 170° F.
  9. In a skillet over low heat, melt the butter.
  10. Add garlic. Sauté until golden.
  11. Add soy sauce, honey and water.
  12. Stir to combine.
  13. Bring to a simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  14. Let sauce reduce and thicken slightly.
  15. Add meatballs.
  16. Toss to coat.
  17. Serve from skillet over low heat, or transfer to a slow cooker to keep warm.
  18. Garnish with onions when serving.
